As Alabama ONE Credit Union celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026, #ILoveMyCreditUnion Day is an opportunity to recognize the cooperative spirit, member advocacy, and community commitment that have defined the organization since 1951.
Founded by seven charter members with just $35 and a cigar box, Alabama ONE has grown into a statewide financial cooperative dedicated to helping members achieve financial success while strengthening the communities it serves. Built on the credit union philosophy of people helping people, Alabama ONE has remained committed to providing accessible, member-focused financial services throughout its history.
Originally established as TRW Federal Credit Union and later BF Goodrich Employees Federal Credit Union, the organization became Alabama ONE in 2009. Through decades of growth, partnerships, and community investment, the credit union has continued to put members first.
For 75 years, Alabama ONE has invested in local communities through financial education, volunteerism, nonprofit partnerships, and financial wellness initiatives. These efforts reflect a continued commitment to making a meaningful impact while helping individuals and families build stronger financial futures.
